Available Treatment Options

Conventional Spray Treatments

Sprays are the oldest treatment method available, with many options to choose from depending on the severity of the existing bed bug problem. We always use a variety of sprays as a very effective eradication method. Our spray treatments generally involve multiple products that, through extensive testing, have been proven to kill bed bugs and in many cases, prevent them from returning. Accordingly, we use a variety of sprays, as some kill adult bed bugs, while other stages are affected by other types of sprays. In addition, pesticide sprays are the only treatment option that leaves a residual, so it keeps working even after we leave. Simply stated, the proper application of effective sprays will do the trick every time.

Steam Treatments

Another method we apply as a part of an overall bed bug eradication/extermination solution is steam. Our steam treatment can effectively kill all stages of bed bugs. To maximize its effectiveness, our steam treatment reaches temperatures of 150–170 degrees Fahrenheit (65 - 75 degrees C) for a sustained period. Our experts apply effective steam treatment through repeated and very thorough steaming of all areas of your home where bed bugs are detected including baseboard, furniture and bedding, which includes the mattress, box spring, bed frame, bed covers, pillows, not to mention other materials and objects within the infested room, such as carpets and curtains.

Vacuum Treatments

Vacuums can be helpful in reducing the numbers of bed bugs in certain locations, especially where there are obvious groups or clusters of bed bugs. But because vacuuming only removes visible signs, and is obviously not 100% effective, it is commonly used as a preliminary step in a more complete, multi-treatment solution by our technicians. We always employ industrial strength vacuums with extra strong suction capability and sharp crevice tools because bed bugs have the incredible ability to cling to fabric and wedge themselves in even the tightest and tiniest cracks and crevices. When we are finished, the vacuum bag is sealed with tape, and immediately disposed of in a secure container.

Freezing Treatments

Another greatly effective method we use as part of a total bed bug eradication solution is freezing. Originally developed and utilized in Europe, freezing is the newest and most effective treatment to kill bed bugs. Our bed bug eradication experts employ this non-toxic bed bug extermination treatment by using a cryonite machine that is operated with patented application tools under high pressure. Cryonite uses the lethal cooling properties of liquid CO2 (carbon dioxide) snow at a frigid -110 degrees Fahrenheit. Our rapid freezing treatment leaves no gummy or wet residues, and is extremely quick, always effective and completely non-toxic, allowing our clients to immediately reuse any area where our rapid freezing treatment has been employed. This technique immediately kills existing bed bugs at all life stages, including eggs, larvae, nymphs and adults!
